should i stay, or should i go?

Okay. So while I was making my home today, I realized how peaceful the area was. I don't know why I suddenly noticed this, but it began when this man (who was probably going for his daily afternoon jog) passed by infront of me with his unleashed golden retriever. And for some reason, the first thought that came in my mind when I saw this was, "I barely see such scenes in the Philippines".

I'll be a liar if I say that Philippines is "the perfect place to be", in regards to its level of corruption and instable government system. Yet, call me stupid, but I would really prefer living there than here.

It's not that I despise Singapore. I love Singapore. It's just that, at some point in time, I wish I was surrounded with the people who truly understands my way of living. I mean, if you were in my situation, I think you would understand. When my mom told me that we were moving here, the first thing that worried me was,
"how could I even dare to leave my family behind?".

When I officially migrated here, I had to deal with the changes. Favor a different cultural dish (seriously, for you Singaporeans, imagine life without char kuay teow/roti prata/mee pork/laksa/m
ee siam!), learn to speak a new native language (we have to admit, what we speak daily isn't really called 'English'), make new local friends, familiarize with the streets, and live with the fact that my family's a million miles away...

Yes. I miss home.

Take me home.
